The African Party for the Independence of Cape Verde (PAICV) criticizes the Government for not creating conditions to make the new Reproductive Health Center built on the island functional.
At a press conference after the decentralized sessions, PAICV president Rui Semedo highlighted the municipal investment in an area under government jurisdiction.
Semedo emphasized the investment of around 70 million Cape Verdean escudos from partners and the municipality in the Reproductive Health Center, to respond to dramatic situations of patients related to maternal issues, pregnant women with difficulties in evacuation, but which, at the moment, is closed.
Speaking to journalists, Rui Semedo talked about the local economy, specifically about investments in sectors such as agriculture, fishing, and livestock. For the PAICV leader, the fact that the island is focused on tourism should be an inducement to investment, and the Government should create strategies so that the population is not left behind.
