Flights between Zurich and Cape Verde begin on October 27th

The Swiss airline Edelweiss will inaugurate new charter connections between Zurich and the islands of Cape Verde starting October 27th, reinforcing its commitment to the archipelago as a top winter tourism destination for the European market.

According to the company’s official website, the first flights will begin on October 27th, with direct routes to Boa Vista Island on Mondays, and to Sal Island, which will benefit from five weekly flights.

From October 29th, Edelweiss will also expand its operations to São Vicente (on Wednesdays) and Santiago/Praia (on Thursdays), further strengthening Cape Verde’s air connectivity with Central Europe.

For now, tickets are only available for flights from Switzerland to Cape Verde, with no return route available at this stage.

Ticket prices range between €176 and €656, depending on the season and destination.

Based in Zurich and founded in 1995, Edelweiss is part of the SWISS International Air Lines group and operates a modern fleet of 83 aircraft, connecting Switzerland with destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, North America, and Latin America.

This new route represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen tourism and investment in Boa Vista Island, consolidating its position as one of the most promising destinations in the Atlantic.
